I’ve enjoyed reading three of Bill Getz’s books, Double Eagles, Gardens of the God, and, Sarah, a tale of timeless love. All require the reader to be open-minded and a willingness to stretch traditional thinking and today’s scientific explanations. The author’s very creative mind explores unique scenarios in the books, each different, but each plays with the plausible. In his first and third books Getz shares aviation stories that only a pilot could tell. I’m sure he has lived several of them. I was able to read the first two in the library but was happy to obtain the third from Amazon. Getz’s books are not easy to put down; don’t bother to start one at bed time, they will grab your attention, toy with your concept of reality and hold you until the author’s last surprise comes at the finish.Product details

This is one of the most interesting love stories I have ever read. It captures your imagination and holds you in suspense until the very end. Bill Getz has written a fascinating book that everyone will enjoy.
Another great book by Bill Getz. WWII, Airplanes and a love story. Great enjoyment for me and my wife. The cadet training program brought back many memories. The ending was unexpected and a great way to end this love story. .
Typical Bill Getz yarn, straight out of left field. It's a beautiful love story. As always, I appreciate your penchant for authenticity. I always anticipate and expect that in your stories.
I especially appreciated the vignettes about the B-24 in WW2 combat. I rather suspect most, if not all, was based on your own experiences in the war.

This is the third Getz book I have read. This guy has an amazing imagination. I guess my favorite so far is "Double Eagles" but this ranks right up there. If you like flying stories from WW II, romance, mystery and a little bit of sci-fi, you will enjoy this one. A fun read!
It's a mystery and a love story starting in a British village, with an American Air Base, during World War II and covering a time period from Cromwell to the present. Want to know the difference between a Baronet and a Baron; learn about training to be a bomber pilot; find out about shopping in a souk in Casablanca - all delightful little tidbits woven into the store. How do you feel about "time slips" from one period in history to another? Let your imagination run wild and enjoy a fun read.
This is the 4th book from Bill Getz and is different from the last. In fact each book is unusual and with a different subject. He is like Wm. Boyd in that respect as it is easier to have a cast of characters and to put them in different situations than to come up with a completely new idea for each book. That is where Getz shines. HIs Air Force training is obvious and authentic in the beginning but the love story is usual and intriguing. Recommend it. Bette Brown
